Julia Davis enters her fifth season with Penn Highlands Volleyball Club after coaching the 13 Sprite in 2009, 15 Leopards in 2008, the 14 Kit Kats in the 2007 season, and the 13 Beetles in 2006.
She is a former player for Geibel High School and also Penn Highlands Volleyball Club. She also competed on the intercollegiate women’s volleyball team at Penn State Fayette in 2000 and 2001 before finishing her degree in Kinesiology at State College.
After completing her degree from Penn State University, Julia returned to Penn State Fayette where she served as assistant coach to Courtney Kline in both 2005 and 2006. Julia was a great contributor to the team’s success and was a part of both the 2005 and 2006 PSUAC Championship teams. Julia then moved on to be an assistant coach for Laurel Highlands High School for two seasons where she helped lead the Mustangs to a section championship in 2008. During this same time she was the volunteer head coach for Conn-Area Catholic School.
Currently Julia is the assistant coach at Bethany College. In her first year with the program, Davis helped the bison record 16 victories, their highest total in 17 years and earn a berth in the PAC Tournament for the first time since 2004. Julia is pursuing a degree in elementary education.
